Industrial Maintenance Technician – 3rd Shift
Manufacturing / Industrial Equipment
Location: Green Bay, WI
Shift: Sunday night – Friday morning | 9:00 PM – 5:00 AM
Job Type: Full-Time | 40 hours/week

We are hiring an experienced Industrial Maintenance Technician to support our manufacturing and production operations on 3rd shift. In this role, you won’t just maintain equipment — you’ll help keep our Bay Towel family running safely, efficiently, and reliably. Your expertise in mechanical, electrical, PLC, and facility maintenance ensures our operations continue smoothly so we can deliver on our commitment to quality and service.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Mechanical Maintenance

Perform mechanical repairs and adjustments on industrial production equipment including gearboxes, chains, bearings, motors, and conveyors

Perform lubrication, alignment, fabrication, and basic welding tasks

Troubleshoot mechanical failures to minimize unplanned downtime
Electrical & Controls

Troubleshoot and repair AC/DC electrical systems using appropriate testing equipment (multimeters, meters, etc.)

Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and control diagrams

Work with single-phase and three-phase power distribution

Troubleshoot and make minor changes to PLC programs and Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs)

Diagnose electrical faults in motors, sensors, switches, and control panels
Production & Preventive Maintenance

Perform unscheduled corrective maintenance to support production efficiency

Complete scheduled preventive maintenance (PMs) on production and facility equipment
-
Inspect, repair, and replace process pumps, valves, piping, and fittings

Accurately complete work requests and maintenance documentation
Facility & General Maintenance

Perform basic carpentry, plumbing, painting, and general facility repairs
-
Assist with building and grounds upkeep including cleaning, lawn care, and landscaping

Provide coverage for Light Maintenance as needed
Safety & Communication

Strictly follow Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) and all safety procedures
-
Communicate effectively with machine operators, team leaders, and supervisors regarding equipment status and downtime
-
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
-
Report unsafe conditions immediately
Required Skills & Qualifications

Industrial or manufacturing maintenance experience preferred

Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills

Working knowledge of PLCs, VFDs, motors, and industrial control systems

Ability to read and understand schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals

Experience with welding and basic metal fabrication preferred

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision on 3rd shift

Must provide own common hand tools
Physical & Work Environment Requirements

Active role requiring standing and walking throughout the shift

Ability to work on foot for extended periods in an industrial environment

Ability to safely perform maintenance tasks on production equipment
