Position Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Human Resources Associate to join our growing team. This role is ideal for an HR professional looking to expand their experience and grow into broader HR Generalist responsibilities over time. The HR Associate will play a key role in supporting talent acquisition, onboarding, employee engagement, and day-to-day HR operations while gaining exposure to employee relations, performance management, benefits administration, and other generalist functions.
This is a Monday- Friday in office role with possibility of hybrid schedule after several months- targeting 85k and a fantastic benefits program

Key Responsibilities
Talent Acquisition & Recruiting
- Source and identify qualified candidates through job boards, social media platforms, networking, and employee referrals.
- Post and maintain job advertisements across various recruiting platforms.
- Review resumes and screen applicants to identify qualified candidates.
- Conduct initial phone screens and coordinate interviews with hiring managers.
- Schedule and facilitate candidate interviews.
- Assist with offer preparation and candidate communications throughout the hiring process.
- Maintain applicant tracking systems and recruiting records.
- Partner with hiring managers to support staffing needs and recruitment strategies.
Onboarding & New Hire Administration
- Manage the full onboarding process for all new hires.
- Prepare and distribute offer letters and onboarding documentation.
- Coordinate background checks, reference checks, and employment verifications.
- Facilitate new hire orientation and onboarding sessions.
- Ensure completion and compliance of I-9s, W-4s, and other required employment documentation.
- Set up new employees in HRIS systems and coordinate equipment, access, and training requirements.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for new hires during the onboarding process.
Human Resources Administration
- Maintain accurate employee records and HR databases.
- Assist with employee status changes, promotions, transfers, and terminations.
- Support benefits enrollment and employee benefits administration.
- Respond to employee inquiries regarding HR policies, procedures, and programs.
- Assist with payroll-related documentation and employee data management.
- Prepare HR reports and maintain compliance-related records.
Employee Engagement & Generalist Development
- Support employee engagement initiatives, recognition programs, and company events.
- Assist with employee communications and HR-related announcements.
- Participate in employee relations matters and investigations as experience grows.
- Support performance management processes, including review cycles and employee development initiatives.
- Assist with policy updates and HR compliance efforts.
- Collaborate with management on workforce planning and organizational initiatives.
- Gain exposure to compensation, benefits, employee relations, training, and compliance activities as part of ongoing professional development.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
- 1-3 years of Human Resources, Recruiting, Talent Acquisition, or Administrative experience.
- Experience coordinating onboarding and recruiting activities preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS/Applicant Tracking Systems.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
- Eagerness to learn and grow into broader HR Generalist responsibilities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience sourcing candidates through LinkedIn and other recruiting platforms.
- Knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices.
- HR certification (PHR, SHRM-CP) or interest in pursuing certification.
