Litigation Legal Assistant (Boston/ Hybrid)
Our growing law firm client is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Litigation Legal Assistant to support a great litigation team! This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who has strong experience with court filings, case management, and attorney support.
Responsibilities
- Prepare, edit, and format legal documents, correspondence, pleadings, and discovery materials
- Manage state and federal court filings, including extensive experience with e-filing systems
- Handle Massachusetts Superior Court Rule 9A filings and ensure compliance with court deadlines and procedures
- Maintain attorney calendars, schedule hearings, depositions, mediations, and client meetings
- Coordinate service of process and communicate with courts, clients, and opposing counsel
- Organize and maintain electronic and physical case files
- Track deadlines and assist attorneys with trial preparation and case management
Qualifications
- 3 years of litigation legal assistant experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of e-filing procedures in state and federal courts
- Experience handling Massachusetts Rule 9A filings required
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal case management software
