About the Role:
The Digital Marketing Intern will support the Marketing team by assisting in the creation of engaging content across digital and social media channels. Working closely with the Senior Creative Marketing Specialist and Senior Digital Marketing Specialist, this role offers hands-on experience in content development, visual storytelling, and brand execution.
This is a 12-week, part-time, in-office internship based out of our Capitola location, designed for students currently enrolled at Cabrillo College, UCSC, or CSUMB.
Scheduled Weekly Hours
25 hours per week; Monday – Friday; within typical business hours between 8:30am – 5:00pm

Bay Federal Credit Union was started in 1957 when local school teachers pooled their money together to start a credit union. This original vision and investment has grown into the area’s largest locally-owned financial institution, with nearly $1.6 billion in assets. Today, Bay Federal provides full service financial products and solutions to individuals and businesses in Santa Cruz, Monterey, and San Benito counties.

What You’ll Be Doing
- Assist in creating digital and social media content for platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn
- Support graphic design projects using Adobe Creative Suite
- Help plan, shoot, and edit basic photo and video content
- Ensure brand consistency across all creative assets
- Collaborate with the marketing team on content calendars and campaign execution
- Assist with editing and optimizing content for different digital channels
- Manage multiple creative tasks and meet project deadlines
- Currently pursuing a degree in Graphic Design, Digital Media, Communications, or related field (Cabrillo College, UCSC, or CSUMB preferred)
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro or similar tools)
- Experience creating content for social media platforms
- Basic video and photography skills
- Strong eye for design, branding, and visual storytelling
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
