About the Role:
Manages facilities maintenance, preventative maintenance, and custodial activities for all Bay Federal Credit Union locations. Maintains the facilities and grounds so that they project a positive image of the credit union and operate as efficiently and cost effectively as possible. Continually works to provide a safe working environment for members and employees. Oversees all safety and security audits according to the established audit schedule. Develops and maintains policies and procedures for all facilities-related duties and responsibilities. Works independently and take initiative, identify and address issues before they become a problem.
Scheduled Weekly Hours
40 hours per week; Monday – Friday

Bay Federal Credit Union was started in 1957 when local school teachers pooled their money together to start a credit union. This original vision and investment has grown into the area’s largest locally-owned financial institution, with nearly $1.6 billion in assets. Today, Bay Federal provides full service financial products and solutions to individuals and businesses in Santa Cruz, Monterey, and San Benito counties.

What You’ll Be Doing
- Promote and maintain a positive image of Bay Federal in all interactions with employees, members, vendors, and the community
- Lead and manage all facilities operations, including maintenance, custodial services, and vendor oversight across all locations
- Ensure a safe and secure environment by overseeing safety programs, compliance, and serving as Chair of the Safety Committee
- Develop and maintain business continuity and recovery plans to minimize operational disruptions
- Conduct risk assessments and implement strategies to mitigate business interruptions and operational risks
- Manage vendor relationships, contracts, and lease agreements to ensure cost-effective and high-quality service delivery
- Oversee facilities budgeting, including capital expenditures, cost control, and financial planning
- Supervise facilities staff, support performance management, and foster a high-performing team
- Establish service level agreements (SLAs) and ensure timely, high-quality service delivery
- Maintain and oversee security systems, including cameras, alarms, and access control system
- 7 years of facilities management experience, including 5 years in a supervisory role
- Experience in a secure or regulated environment (financial institution experience preferred)
- Strong knowledge of building systems, maintenance operations, and facilities infrastructure
- Proven experience managing vendors, contracts, and facilities projects
- Strong leadership and team development experience
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational, analytical, and time management abilities
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and solve problems proactively
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
- Relevant certifications (IFMA or BOMA preferred) and a valid driver’s license

Salary : $100,618 - $125,772
