Residential DSP in Waldorf Sunday - Wednesday

Job Summary

Bay-CSS is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Residential Direct Support Professional (DSP) to join our team in Waldorf. This position involves providing care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities in a residential setting. The ideal candidate will ensure the well-being and safety of residents, promote independence, and support community integration.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous experience in a residential care setting or working with individuals with developmental disabilities is highly valued.
• Strong communication skills and ability to interact effectively with residents, families, and colleagues.
• Capacity to assist residents with daily activities, personal care, and behavioral support.
• Demonstrated patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to help others.
• Must have a valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and car insurance.
• Capable of lifting at least 50lbs and passing a background check.
  
  

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care per individualized care plans for residents.
• Assist with daily living tasks, meal preparation, medication administration, and personal hygiene.
• Cultivate a positive and inclusive environment that nurtures resident growth and well-being.
• Implement behavioral support strategies and de-escalation techniques when necessary.
• Maintain accurate documentation of resident progress, incidents, and changes in health or behavior.
  
  

Schedule

• Sunday: 7am - 11pm
• Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday: 3pm - 11pm
• Must work schedule as presented.
• All trainings must be completed within the specified timeframe.
  
  

Compensation

• Pay rate is $21 per hour with a $2 weekend differential.
