What We’re Looking For:

·        Compassionate and detail-oriented professionals

·        Ability to perform under pressure with minimal supervision

·        Effective communication and collaboration with interdisciplinary teams

·        One year of experience in an acute care hospital preferred

·        Graduate of an accredited respiratory therapy program

·        Current Louisiana licensure as a Registered Respiratory Therapist

·        CPR Certification required

·        NRP, PALS, and ACLS certifications preferred

What You Will Do:

Provide respiratory therapy and perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures related to cardiopulmonary disorders in accordance with physician orders and established practices.

·        Deliver and set up respiratory care equipment, ensuring proper function and adherence to safety standards

·        Monitor patients on continuous ventilation and make necessary equipment adjustments per departmental standards

·        Assess treatment effectiveness and collaborate with medical staff on patient care plans

·        Adhere to hospital safety and infection control policies, ensuring all equipment is clean, sterile, and ready for use

·        Handle medications securely and accurately as part of respiratory treatments

·        Educate and mentor staff through in-service presentations, serve as a resource for peers, and stay current with professional advancements

·        Participate in quality assurance and improvement initiatives to enhance department operations

·        Perform other duties as assigned
