Responsibilities
- Perform a variety or a particular type of massage including Swedish massage, deep tissue massage, trigger point therapy, sports massage, prenatal massage and others.
- Conduct thorough client assessments to determine appropriate treatment plans based on client needs and medical history.
- Communicate effectively with clients to understand their concerns, explain treatment options, and ensure comfort throughout sessions.
- Maintain detailed records of treatments provided and monitor client progress over time.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and maintain compliance with licensing requirements and medical terminology standards.
- Educate clients on self-care techniques and recommend follow-up treatments or referrals as needed.
- Support the overall client experience by delivering exceptional customer service in a welcoming environment.
Skills
- Proven expertise in massage therapy techniques including Swedish massage, deep tissue massage, trigger point therapy, sports massage, prenatal massage and others.
- Strong knowledge of human anatomy and physiology to accurately assess client needs and tailor treatments accordingly.
- Excellent client communication skills to build trust and ensure client satisfaction.
- Ability to apply pain management strategies effectively through targeted massage techniques.
- Familiarity with medical terminology relevant to therapeutic massage.
