Field Mechanic (Diesel Equipment) - Casper, WY

Basin Trucking and Rental is looking for a Heavy Duty Diesel Equipment Field Mechanic. Willing to travel to the field, diagnose and repair equipment on location. They must be knowledgeable on Loaders and Man lifts.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Performing maintenance and repairs of a significant nature on all types of equipment and/or assisting with repairs/improvements/maintenance of equipment to assure it is in safe working condition.
• Troubleshooting equipment maintenance problems to properly diagnose components to determine method and extent of repair necessary. Read, interpret, analyze and apply information in technical manuals and schematics.
• Anticipate needed parts and supplies, disassemble equipment and parts, fabricate parts when needed and reassemble equipment and parts.
• Clean work area.
• Fill out repair orders completely and accurately in a timely manner.
• Drive and maintain mechanics truck.
• Communicate effectively (verbal, listening, written). Frequent contact and communication with others within and outside the company. Self-motivated, team-player with excellent interpersonal skills; ability to work independently or in a team setting; ability to maintain positive customer relations and act courteous/respectful of others.
• Responsible to proved own basic hand tools and some specialty tools.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Valid drivers license with a clean abstract.
• At least one year experience working as a heavy equipment mechanic.
• Willingness to be on call, and go out on service calls 24/7 during your scheduled on call period.Wage dependent on experience.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $35.00 - $40.00 per hour

Experience:

• Mechanical knowledge: 1 year (Preferred)
