Duties and Responsibilities:
- Performing maintenance and repairs of a significant nature on all types of equipment and/or assisting with repairs, improvements, and maintenance of equipment to assure it is in safe working condition.
- Performing field service work as directly by the service manager and dispatch.
- Troubleshooting equipment maintenance problems to properly diagnose components and determine the method and extent of repair necessary. Read, interpret, analyze, and apply information in technical manuals and schematics.
- Anticipate needed parts and supplies, disassemble equipment and parts, fabricate parts when needed, and reassemble equipment and parts.
- Clean work area.
- Fill out repair orders completely and accurately in a timely manner.
- Drive and maintain mechanics truck.
- Communicate effectively (verbal, listening, written). Frequent contact and communication with others within and outside the company. Self-motivated, team player with excellent interpersonal skills; ability to work independently or in a team setting; ability to maintain positive customer relations and act courteous/respectful of others.
- Responsible to provide own basic hand tools and some specialty tools.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Must meet our insurance companies requirements in order to drive company vehicle.
- At least one year of experience as a heavy equipment mechanic.
- Flexibility to respond to urgent service calls during assigned on-call periods when required.
- Must be able to pass drug, alcohol, and background screening.
- A strong commitment to teamwork, shared goals, and maintaining a positive workplace culture.
Wage: $24–$36 per hour, dependent on experience (DOE).
