What are the responsibilities and job description for the Diesel Truck Mechanic-Casper, WY position at Basin Trucking and Rental?
The Diesel Technician is responsible for troubleshooting, diagnosing, repairing and completing preventative maintenance on a Fleet of Heavy Duty Trucks, Trailers and automotive fleet vehicles. An understanding of electrical, PM, DOT inspections and PC is required. Experience required.
*Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Responsible for troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair on all types of trucks
- Be able to work with diagnostic computers for troubleshooting and repairs
- Positive interface with service writer, supervisor, and parts department
- Document machine information and repairs completed on work order, including parts and fluids used.
- Keep paper work updated and handed in upon completion
- Maintain a clean work area, as well as care for all shop tools, machines, and equipment.
- Meet requirements for certification
- Must have your own set of general tools

- Candidates must have valid work authorization and be able to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship
- Must possess a valid drivers license free of any major violations in the past 5 years
- Must be able to pass Drug, Alcohol and background checks
