Job Summary:
The Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) at Basecamp Recovery Center plays a vital role in the integrated care team by providing compassionate, evidence-based psychiatric services to clients with substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health conditions. This role is responsible for psychiatric evaluations, diagnosis, medication management, and collaboration with clinical and medical staff to ensure continuity and quality of care. The PMHNP supports the organization’s mission by delivering trauma-informed, client-centered care that promotes long-term recovery.
Job Duties & Responsibilities:

Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and assessments for clients across various levels of care.

Develop and implement individualized psychiatric treatment plans, including medication-assisted treatment (MAT) when appropriate.

Monitor client progress, medication effectiveness, and side effects through regular follow-ups.

Adjust treatment plans based on clinical judgment and collaboration with the multidisciplinary team.

Educate clients and families on psychiatric diagnoses, medications, and therapeutic interventions.

Collaborate with physicians, counselors, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and holistic treatment.

Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR) system.

Participate in clinical team meetings, staff trainings, and case reviews as required.

Stay current on best practices, emerging treatments, and regulatory requirements related to psychiatric and substance use care.
Job Duties:
Strong clinical knowledge in psychiatric evaluation, diagnosis, and medication management
Proven ability to build rapport and maintain therapeutic relationships with diverse client population
Familiarity with trauma-informed care and integrated behavioral health practices.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Qualifications:Education and Experience:
- Licensed as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) in the State of Ohio.
- Must hold a Certificate to Prescribe in the State of Ohio.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in mental health or addiction treatment preferred.
- Current CPR certification required.
- Experience with EMR systems and e-prescribing tools.
- Familiarity with OhioMHAS and CARF standards is a plus
