Job Summary
The Offsite Concierge's main responsibility is to provide an unparalleled guest experience. The successful candidate will provide guests with concierge-like, solution-oriented service over the phone and via web based messaging, while acting as a representative for Base's upscale and luxury segment. The successful candidate will love the travel segment and the wonder of creating an unimaginable guest experience.
Operational Functions
- Engage guests over the phone and via our messaging system.
- Know and understand the hotel’s guest rooms, amenities, and shortcomings and be able to speak to each of these in a positive manner.
- Receives and processes telephone reservations accurately to ensure guest satisfaction.
- Resolves guest issues, complaints, or problems.
- Competently and cheerfully operates the telephone system according to Base standards.
- Acts as manager on duty in the absence of management staff.
- Understands and applies all hotel safety and security procedures to maintain a secure and safe environment for employees and guests.
- Keeps immediate supervisor promptly and fully informed of all problems or unusual matters of significance coming to his/her attention so prompt corrective action can be taken.
- Proactively seeks out other duties and responsibilities to effectively benefit the operation of the hotel.
- Maintains appearance in a clean and professional manner.
Qualification Standards
- Be friendly and cheerful; interact easily with strangers.

- Cooperate with and support others.
- Observe, react quickly and adjust to different guest situations.
- Quickly learn front desk technical procedures such as: check-in, check-out, selling skills, computer operation, telephone operations, etc.
- Operate computer to handle monetary transactions and reservations data.
- Work well on multiple tasks at the same time.
- Cope with unusual circumstances, showing self-control and a happy demeanor during excitement.
- Possess strong organizational skills and strong detail orientation.
- Physically manipulate equipment such as: computer, telephone console/switchboard, calculator, etc.
- Grooming must meet property standards.
