Electrical Estimator 1

Bart’s Electric is seeking a detail-oriented Electrical Estimator I to support the preconstruction team in preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for commercial electrical projects. This role assists in performing takeoffs, gathering vendor pricing, and developing bid proposals under the direction of senior estimators.

The ideal candidate has foundational commercial electrical knowledge and is looking to grow within a structured estimating team.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in reviewing plans, specifications, and project documents
• Perform quantity takeoffs for lighting, power, conduit, and related systems
• Compile material and labor pricing under supervision
• Solicit vendor and subcontractor quotes
• Assist in preparing bid proposals and documentation
• Maintain organized bid files and estimating records
• Support pre-bid meetings and scope reviews
• Coordinate with project management for project handoff
  
  

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of commercial electrical field or estimating experience
• Basic understanding of NEC and commercial electrical systems
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints
• Familiarity with estimating software (Accubid, ConEst, McCormick, Bluebeam, etc.) preferred
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel
• Strong attention to detail and time management skills
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Journeyman Electrician background
• Associate degree in Construction Management or related field
• Experience assisting with projects $500K–$3M
