Job Description
We are currently seeking reliable and skilled Field Service Technicians to support Dell laptops and Dell printers on a contract basis. This is a field-based role requiring travel to customer locations to diagnose, repair, and replace hardware components while completing assigned work orders.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose, repair, and replace hardware components on Dell laptops and Dell printers
- Perform break/fix service on laptop components including:
- Hard drives / SSDs
- Memory (RAM)
- Keyboards
- Screens / displays
- Batteries
- Motherboards
- Service Dell printers, including:
- Diagnostics and troubleshooting
- Part replacement (rollers, fusers, boards, etc.)
- Basic configuration and functionality testing
- Perform system diagnostics, BIOS/firmware checks, and hardware verification
- Run manufacturer diagnostics and follow Dell service documentation
- Complete part swaps and warranty repairs according to service instructions
- Document each service visit with required notes, serial numbers, and photos
- Communicate clearly with dispatch, customers, and internal support teams
- Complete service calls within required SLAs while maintaining high service quality
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 1–2 years of hands-on experience with laptop and/or printer repair (field service experience preferred)
- Familiarity with Dell hardware repair procedures and diagnostics
- Basic understanding of Windows operating systems for testing and validation
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to read and follow service manuals and technical instructions
- Professional customer service and communication skills
- Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license
- Must have personal tools, ESD protection, and a smartphone with internet access
