What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Scientist position at Barrington James?
Barrington James is partnered with a client in NJ who is looking to add a senior scientist and scientist to their team. Our client needs some 2 people to join their team. They are looking to find people who have strong experience with in-vitro ADME and metabolic experience. My client is currently revamping their facility in Princton, NJ.
Responsibilities
- Plan, execute, analyze, and report in-vitro ADME/metabolism studies
- Design experiments, troubleshoot assays, and interpret data to guide next steps
- Develop, optimize, and improve ADME assays and high-throughput workflows
- Support LC-MS/MS, DDI, biotransformation, and bioanalytical studies
- Mentor junior scientists and perform peer data review
- Support laboratory operations, automation/robotics, and quality systems
- Collaborate with Project Managers and cross-functional teams to deliver projects on time
Qualifications
- PhD in a relevant scientific field or Master’s 6 years of relevant experience
- Experience in DMPK/DM/PK, drug discovery/development, and in-vitro ADME
- Strong understanding of drug metabolism and DDI
- Experience with LC-MS/MS, cell-based or biochemical assays, and data analysis
- Strong scientific communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
Preferred: High-throughput/plate-based screening, cell culture, LC-MS/MS, and laboratory automation experience.
