Barrier Islands Psychiatry, PA is seeking a Receptionist to become a part of our team! The Receptionist performs a range of administrative duties to support patient care, working directly with the treatment team to facilitate timely patient scheduling, document management, and triaging. The ideal candidate would possess a team-oriented work style with an emphasis on communication and service excellence.
Responsibilities:
- Greet all visitors and patients warmly
- Readily receives calls and manages patients in a timely manner
- Accurately input patient information into electronic health record to maintain scheduling
- Manage incoming and outbound calls to ensure patients are connected to resources in a timely manner
- Maintain patient payments for service through diligent review of insurance, fees, and arrangements
- Support daily operations through maintenance of waiting areas
- Reviews and responds to voicemails hourly; responsible for acting on all daily voicemails by end of shift
Qualifications:
- Medical office experience required
- Familiarity with insurance terminology
- Familiarity with electronic health records management systems or similar
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- A desire to learn or continue to improve upon skills
Job Type: Full-time
Pay determined upon hire, commensurate with experience and/or education.
