About the Role

The Payroll Specialist plays a key role in keeping our people supported and our operations running smoothly. You’ll process payroll, prepare commission breakdowns for our Loan Officers, and ensure our internal compliance needs are met. Your attention to detail and customer service mindset help create a seamless, positive experience for every employee at Barrett.

What You’ll Do

• Process semi-monthly payroll accurately and on time
• Prepare and distribute payroll breakdowns for Loan Officer commissions
• Ensure Broker compliance requirements are met within our internal system
• Assist with audits, reporting, and special projects
• Reconcile payroll discrepancies and resolve payroll-related issues
• Partner with other departments to keep payroll processes smooth and employee-focused
• Provide friendly, supportive customer service to employees regarding payroll inquiries

What You Bring

• Strong skills in Microsoft Office with a focus on Excel
• Solid understanding of basic accounting and math principles
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with care
• Excellent communication skills and a team-first mindset
• 2 or more years of experience in an office or administrative role preferred
