We are seeking a motivated Finance Accountant to join our team and maintain accurate financial records, ensue compliance with applicable regulations and support the overall financial operations of the company. The ideal candidate will have strong accounting knowledge and skills, excellent attention to detail, and a commitment to our mission.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate financial records, including accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and reconciliations.
- Assist with all accounts receivable activities including billing, and collections.
- Maintain effective working relationships with funders and vendors.
- Credit card review and analysis.
- Process invoices, expense reports, and reimbursements in a timely and compliant manner.
- Assist with budget tracking, reporting, and grant/contract compliance.
- Prepare and maintain financial documentation for audits and regulatory requirements.
- Assist in the implementation of new financial software systems.
- Collaborate with program and administrative staff to ensure financial accuracy and efficiency.
- Support the Finance Manager with special projects and organizational initiatives.
- Additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
- Minimum of two years of Accounting or Finance experience.
- Strong knowledge of financial practices and compliance requirements.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and financial software systems.
- Exceptional attention to detail, organizational, and communication skills.
- Strong analytical skills and a solid understanding of accounting principles.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines.
