Location: Barnwell Elementary School

Position is open until filled.

Job Description:

Responsible for processing, monitoring and managing school financial transactions. Position will also require school office responsibilities periodically throughout the school day as requested by the administration.

Responsibilities:

• Be customer service oriented and communicate effectively with the public.
• Receipt funds.
• Possess general bookkeeping and accounting knowledge.
• Perform general secretarial office duties.
• Exhibit excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Maintain accounts by verifying, allocating, and posting transactions.
• Prepare financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends.
• Ensure all purchase order procedures are followed per district policy.
• Prepare purchase orders, reconcile bills and other accounting duties.
• Compose and prepare accurate reports, records and correspondence.
• Communicate with vendors.
• Reconcile accounts monthly when examining district reports.
• Compare check requests to accounts payable reports.
• Create a system to keep track of invoices and check requests to ensure timely payment.
• Verify account balances and vendor numbers prior to submitting a check request for payment.
• Possess knowledge of accounting & office software.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the administration.
