Job Description:
Responsible for processing, monitoring and managing school financial transactions. Position will also require school office responsibilities periodically throughout the school day as requested by the administration.
Responsibilities:
- Be customer service oriented and communicate effectively with the public.
- Receipt funds.
- Possess general bookkeeping and accounting knowledge.
- Perform general secretarial office duties.
- Exhibit excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Maintain accounts by verifying, allocating, and posting transactions.
- Prepare financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends.
- Ensure all purchase order procedures are followed per district policy.
- Prepare purchase orders, reconcile bills and other accounting duties.
- Compose and prepare accurate reports, records and correspondence.
- Communicate with vendors.
- Reconcile accounts monthly when examining district reports.
- Compare check requests to accounts payable reports.
- Create a system to keep track of invoices and check requests to ensure timely payment.
- Verify account balances and vendor numbers prior to submitting a check request for payment.
- Possess knowledge of accounting & office software.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the administration.
