Job Description: We are looking for a Tasting Room associate to serve, interact with and inform our guests. This position will report to the Tasting Room Manager and will be an important member of our front-of-house staff. They will be expected to assist with all aspects of the guest experience, so excellent customer service is a must. Weekend and evening availability required. This position will be part time, and the currently available shifts are mostly weekdays.
Compensation will be minimum wage, plus gratuity and commission; which typically amounts to $25 an hour or more.
Job Qualifications:
- Exceptional customer service
- Preferred industry experience
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to lift and carry 50lbs
- Ability to work standing up for majority of shift
- Must have or obtain WA MAST Permit upon hire
- Must have or obtain WA Food Handler Permit upon hire
Job Responsibilities:
- Cultivate a positive wine experience for all guests
- Effectively communicate knowledge of wines, winery and winemaking process
- Coordinate and fulfill wine shipments
- Maintain a clean and presentable tasting room facility
- Communicate wine club information to guests
- Assist during special events and wine club parties
- Attend phones and tasting room email inquiries
