What are the responsibilities and job description for the Restaurant Cook position at Barnard Griffin Winery?
Barnard Griffin Winery is located in Richland, Washington and the heart of the Tri-Cities wine industry. We are seeking a new cook to add to our culinary team. This position would work under our Culinary Lead and be trained to successfully prepare and execute each item on our menu. Our tasting room focuses on artisan dishes prepared with fresh ingredients that are expertly paired with the wines produced by Barnard Griffin. We have a small and efficient team that we are looking to expand to meet the demands of our continually growing business.
**This position can be full-time or part-time. If employees work 30 hours per week they earn full time benefits which include paid time off, medical insurance, vision insurance and 401k matching. Wage will depend upon experience.
Expectations:
- Master the execution of all menu items
- Produce each menu item efficiently and consistently
- Effectively manage time and achieve minimum guest wait times
- Must be able to work successfully under pressure
- Work with team to ensure all items are stocked and rotated
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Comply with all general and food safety rules and regulations at all times
- Execute special menu items and seasonal dishes as they are developed
Qualifications:
- Washington Food Handler’s Permit
- Basic knowledge of food preparation
- In-depth understanding of various cooking procedures
- Proper knife skills and technique
- Previous work experience with sauté, broil and cold preparation; baking experience a plus
- Ability to learn new cooking techniques
- Must be dependable and a team player
- Must be customer service oriented

Pay: $17.13 - $19.00 per hour
