We are seeking a reliable and organized LPN Staffing Coordinator to manage daily staffing operations in our long-term care facility. This role is responsible for ensuring adequate nursing staff coverage while maintaining compliance with state regulations and facility standards. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, compassionate, and thrives in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate daily, weekly, and monthly nursing staff schedules (LPNs, RNs, and CNAs)
- Ensure staffing levels meet census needs, acuity, and regulatory requirements
- Monitor call-offs and arrange appropriate coverage in a timely manner
- Communicate staffing needs with nursing leadership and department heads
- Maintain accurate staffing records, schedules, and timekeeping documentation
- Assist with orientation scheduling and onboarding of new nursing staff
- Support emergency staffing and contingency plans as needed
- Promote teamwork and positive communication among staff
- Ensure compliance with facility policies, labor laws, and state/federal regulations
The LPN will also work part time assisting the admissions coordinator in the admissions department reviewing potential resident referrals.
Qualifications
- Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in good standing required
- Prior experience in long-term care or skilled nursing required
- Staffing, scheduling, or supervisory experience strongly preferred
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to handle confidential information professionally
- Proficiency with scheduling and payroll software preferred
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $24.00 - $30.00 per hour
