What are the responsibilities and job description for the BARTENDER position at Barcade Llc?
The bartender represents the Barcade brand and as such is friendly, attentive and knowledgeable of the brand and it’s unique offerings. Bartenders are responsible for serving guests in a timely and courteous fashion.
This position is for shifts on the busiest nights of the week at our flagship location so experience working at a high volume NYC bar is required.
Duties and responsibilities
- Prepare alcohol or non-alcohol beverages for bar and restaurant patrons
- Interact with customers, take orders and serve food and drink
- Assess customers’ needs and preferences and make recommendations
- Mix ingredients to prepare cocktails
- Check customers’ identification and confirm it meets legal drinking age
- Restock and replenish bar inventory and supplies
- Maintain an accurate cash drawer throughout the night and be able to account for any and all discrepancies in the final drawer tally
- Stay guest focused and nurture an excellent guest experience
- Comply with all food and beverage regulations.
- Standard set up and break down of bar and surrounding areas.
Qualifications
- 2 years of experience in a fast paced and high standard bar setting.
- Ability to work late nights, weekends, and holidays as business demands.
- Working knowledge of craft beer, craft spirits and food.
- Interest in vintage arcade games.
- A passion for hospitality and customer service.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to lift up to 60 lbs and stand for long periods of time.
