Job Summary
The Line Cook is responsible for executing dishes to Barbareño's standards of quality, consistency, and presentation. This role works closely with the Chef de Cuisine and Sous Chefs to maintain an organized, efficient station while contributing to a positive kitchen environment.
This position requires strong attention to detail, professionalism, and the ability to perform consistently during both busy services and quieter prep days.

Responsibilities
- Execute menu items with consistency and precision
- Prepare ingredients according to established recipes and specifications
- Set up and maintain an organized station for service
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation throughout each shift
- Work efficiently while communicating with the kitchen team
- Properly label, rotate, and store all food products
- Assist with prep projects and production as assigned
- Monitor product quality and notify chefs of any concerns
- Help minimize food waste through careful handling and organization
- Maintain food safety standards at all times
- Assist with receiving and properly storing deliveries when needed
Requirements
- Previous line cook experience required
- Passion for cooking and hospitality
- Strong work ethic and sense of urgency
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Reliable attendance and punctuality
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
- Food Handler Card (or ability to obtain one)

Pay: $21.00 - $24.00 per hour
