What are the responsibilities and job description for the Regional Lending Manager/Mortgage Originator position at Bank of Canton?
Originates residential mortgage loans and participates in related business development activities outside banking centers. Provides service to customers and prospective customers seeking residential mortgage loans. Required to maintain a valid registration through the National Mortgage Licensing System.
This position is commission based. Compensation is directly related to sales volume closed.
Pay: $31,200.00 - $200,000.00
ESSENTIAL ELEMENTS
- Solicits residential mortgages through contacts with realtors, builders and developers
- Visits customers at customer homes and other outside locations, including realtor’s offices, to solicit residential mortgages
- Spends substantial amount of time outside of the office generating sales and making new sales contacts
- Interviews applicants to develop information concerning their needs, desires and earnings to assist in determining whether the loan will be an acceptable risk, obtains and analyzes pertinent financial and credit data
- Obtains necessary documentation for processing loans
- Follows current loan to ensure conformity with terms
- Negotiates terms and conditions of loan with mortgagers
- Keeps informed of trends and developments in the local real estate market, as well as the changing rules and regulations pertaining to both private and government insured mortgages
Qualifications/Education:
- 2-3 years of Mortgage Loan Originator Experience
- National Mortgage Licensing System Registration
- Excellent Communications and Sales Skills
- Knowledge of Real Estate Law Preferred
Responsible for being in full compliance with all applicable requirements of the Secure and Fair Enforcement for Mortgage Licensing
