Essential Functions:
- Answer, screen and forward calls providing information, taking messages and scheduling appointments.
- Memorize and use scripts effectively both over the phone and in person.
- Scan documents such as referrals, new patient paperwork, and record releases into patient’s chart
- Collect mail, messages and courier deliveries.
- Check in patients and maintain a sign in sheet
- Enter patient’s personal information into computer
- Determine which patients need a medical history update (once a year)
- Indicate a patient is ready to be seated by changing the status on the appointment
- Confirm next day and 3-day out appointments
- Print route slips for the next day’s appointments
- Report changes in the schedule and walk ins to staff as necessary
- Must always represent the practice in a professional, pleasant, and cooperative manner.
- Must maintain regular, consistent and punctual attendance in accordance with assigned schedule and time off policies.
- Must be able to comfortably and efficiently handle multiple deadlines and task assignments.
- Other duties and tasks, as assigned periodically.
Experience and Education:
- High School Diploma.
- One Year Office experience preferred.
Working Conditions/Physical Requirements:
- Sitting 80%
- Standing/walking 20%
- Medical, office, and lab setting.
- Hearing – Must be able to hear telephonic equipment and comfortably communicate with Patients and others by telephone and in person.
- Near Vision - The ability to see details at close range (within a few feet of the observer) as required for business software, and operating office machines.
Salary : $14 - $18
