They interpret Explanation of Benefits (EOB) forms, apply adjustments, resolve discrepancies, and manage both electronic (ERA) and manual transactions, directly impacting the revenue cycle.Key Responsibilities:- Payment Posting: Accurately apply insurance payments, adjustments, and denials (EOB/ERA) to patient accounts.- Reconciliation: Balance daily deposits, electronic funds transfers (EFTs), and checks to ensure accuracy.- Denial Management: Identify, document, and route claim denials or underpayments for follow-up.-Data Entry: Enter patient payments and insurance reimbursements into the practice management system.- Audit/Reporting: Review accounts for accuracy, verify electronic claim transmission, and report discrepancies to management.Required Skills and Qualifications-High school diploma or GED required; associate degree preferred.-Previous experience in medical billing, clerical work, or a similar data entry role.-Proficiency in MS Office (Excel) and familiarity with Dental Practice Management Software.-Understanding ofdentalterminology, CPT/ICD-10 codes, and insurance protocols.-Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and ability to handle confidential information.
