Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Receive and dispatch calls, messages, and radio communication from ballpark operations team members and ballpark partners.
- Compile detailed records and reports on incidents for ballpark operations leadership
- Utilize software such as camera systems, weather monitoring, social media monitoring, and drone detection to assist with incident and emergency response
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with ballpark partners
- Proactively solve problems and communicate to front line staff
- Prior experience in a security role at a sports and entertainment venue, public assembly facility, or public safety entity.
- Willingness to work non-traditional hours to ensure proper coverage of all events and activities scheduled in the facility, as required. Able to work nights, weekend, and holidays as required.
- Experience operating a computer, two-way radio and various communication equipment.
- Ability to sit for long periods of time.
- Ability to remain engaged and on task for extended periods of time. Able to prioritize work and maintain effective time management skills.
- Ability to remain fully engaged during shifts and maintain focus on your surroundings
- Actively listen to instructions and feedback
- Observe details that impact operations or guest experiences.
- They are alert, aware, and responsive, ensuring nothing important is overlooked.
- Experience working with surveillance software.
- Experience in a dispatch role or command/operations center.
- The Command Center Lead requires flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as reflected by the Orioles 2026 home game schedule plus special events as needed.
- Must be available to arrive up to 90 minutes prior to gates opening and stay up to 60 minutes post-game.
- Required to complete paid training prior to being approved to work game/event shifts.
