In accordance with Maryland law, City School is required to share the position salary ranges in its entirety. Please note, this is not the hiring range. The hiring range for this position is ($101,250 - 149,361)
Essential Functions
- Provides management and clinical supervision for related service providers.
- Serves as communication liaison between central office and school based related service staff.
- Promotes best practices of the profession in the delivery of services through the use of evidenced based research, practices, methodologies and principles.
- Works collaboratively with agency and community partners in the provision of resources and services that support and enable students to access the educational environment.
- Provides technical assistance to principals in managing related services providers and related services.
- Collaborates with Director in the recruitment and pre-employment screening of related service providers and interns.
- Conducts evaluations and reviews of the related services delivery models.
- Conducts formal and informal observations of school-based related service providers.
- Participates in planning and conducting discipline-specific and compliance in-service training as well as other district-wide initiatives supporting students.
- Takes proactive measures to prevent interruptions in related services.
- Works collaboratively with Director of Related Services, the Office of Special Education and other central offices, MSDE and external agencies, as needed, to ensure FAPE.
- Reviews and evaluates the services provided by private providers.
- Participates in billing verification for contractual providers.
- Works collaboratively with Human Capital and Third-Party Billing in the verification of credentials for third party billing service providers.
- Performs and promotes all activities in compliance with equal employment and nondiscrimination policies; follow federal laws, state laws, school boards policies and the professional standards.

Desired Qualifications
- Master's degree in Speech and Language Pathology required and current licensure as a Speech and Language Pathologist issued by the Maryland Department of Health. Degree must be from an accredited college or institution.
- Five years of successful experience working as a related service provider to include two years in a lead or supervisory capacity.
- Experience in conducting professional learning activities for staff.
- Experience in conducting clinical program evaluations.
- Knowledge of Federal, State and local special education mandates.
- Awareness of current research and trends relevant to the related service areas.
- Knowledge of organizational and operating procedures including the decision-making process, program planning, improvement strategies, and compliance.
- Effective written and oral communication skills.
- Strong organizational and leadership skills.
- Interpersonal skills that ensure effective team building.
- Data analysis, problem analysis and quality decision making skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to effectively facilitate or coordinate training, instruction, and supervision to professional clinicians.
- Administrative I endorsement preferred.
