Charm City Speech is hiring a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to provide high-quality, client-centered support at our community clinic locations during daytime hours. This role is ideal for an SLPA who enjoys working with pediatric clients, collaborating with a supportive team, and delivering services in a structured clinic setting.
- Provide speech-language therapy services to clients under the supervision of a licensed SLP, following individualized treatment plans
- Support clients across areas such as articulation/phonology, receptive/expressive language, social communication, AAC support (as trained), and caregiver education
- Collect and document data and progress notes accurately and on time
- Assist with session preparation (materials, visuals, activity planning) to keep sessions engaging and effective
- Collaborate with the supervising SLP and team members to ensure consistency of care across settings
- Maintain a professional, welcoming environment for families at our community clinic sites
- Must be available for daytime hours (weekday mornings/afternoons) to support services at our community clinic locations
- Consistent weekly availability preferred
- Active SLPA license/registration (or eligibility) in the state of Maryland
- SLPA degree or approved SLPA program completion
- Experience (or strong training) providing therapy support for children in a clinic, school, or community-based setting
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with families and multidisciplinary teams
- Reliable transportation to travel between community clinic locations as needed
- Comfortable using digital systems for documentation (or willing to learn quickly)
- Experience with AAC (basic implementation, modeling, device support) or interest in learning
- Experience with neurodiversity-affirming practices and child-led therapy approaches
- Familiarity with IEP-related goals and coordination with school teams
- Bilingual skills (a plus, not required)
