Responsibilities
The Event Sales Manager at Ballers is responsible for driving revenue generation and sales strategy for Ballers Philadelphia and Boston. This role defines the strategic vision for events while managing day-to-day execution to hit growth targets, strengthen Ballers’ market presence, and maximize revenue from events. Event Sales Manager will develop scalable sales processes, identify and cultivate prospective clients, and build enduring corporate and community relationships that align with Ballers’ mission and brand.
Success in this role requires exceptional communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills, a passion for sports, fitness, and private events, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, multi-location environment with a strong customer-first mindset.
Here’s what your day-to-day will look like
- Identify, prospect, and cultivate high-value relationships with individuals, corporations, community partners, and event clients in both markets.
- Execute inside and outside sales strategies to drive private event revenue growth, event bookings.
- Manage location-based sales efforts, ensuring consistency in messaging, pricing, and execution across both clubs.
- Coordinate the transition of contracted events to the Director of Event Planning, providing clear turnover documentation, event briefs, and revenue commitments.
- Maintain post-turnover engagement with clients to nurture relationships and identify future business opportunities.
- Conduct sales presentations, club tours, and meetings to showcase Ballers’ amenities and value proposition.
- Maintain an active sales pipeline using CRM tools; ensure disciplined tracking, reporting, and follow-up.
- Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets for each location; monitor progress and implement corrective strategies as needed.
- Build and maintain strategic partnerships through networking events, corporate associations, and community engagement.
- Collaborate with operations and marketing teams to optimize the member and guest experience.
- Gather and analyze feedback from members, clients, and team members to identify revenue growth and service improvement opportunities.
- Participate in key member events and programming to strengthen relationships and reinforce the brand.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Hospitality, or a related field preferred
- 3 years of progressive sales experience in sports, hospitality, lifestyle, or experiential brands
- Strong record of meeting or exceeding revenue targets and driving year-over-year growth
- Ability to influence senior leaders and high-value clients
- Skilled in negotiation, contract structuring, and long-term partnership development
- Strategic thinker able to translate big-picture vision into measurable execution plans
- Exceptional communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills
- Willingness to travel between Philadelphia and Boston as needed
- Know your way around CRM and basic office software; bonus points if you're good with data
- You're an energetic team player who delivers awesome guest experiences with that genuine "Baller" hospitality
