We are seeking General Laborers to join our team for our project in Washington, DC. Laborers may perform a variety of functions such as: Measuring distances, signals operators of construction equipment, mixing grouts and patching materials using portable mixer or by hand. Performs a variety of tasks involving dexterous, use of hands and tools such as chipping hammers, concrete vibrators, grinders, shovels, rakes, scrappers, sledge hammers and compaction equipment.

Essential Functions

• Strike off and help finish freshly poured concrete using float, trowel or screed.
• Help in positioning, joining, alignment of pipe sections.
• Help erect scaffolding, shoring and braces.
• Help other crafts in the forming of structures, stripping lumber, dismantling forms and removing imperfections from concrete surfaces
• Application of water, form oils, curing compounds, retarders, and other products used in concrete construction.
• Perform site clean up and area clean up daily.

Minimum Requirements

• Ability to communicate in English via verbal and written communications.
• Experience with concrete vibrating equipment.
• Move throughout a construction jobsite which includes minor obstacles including climbing ladders and inclines, operating heavy equipment, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
• Heavy physical activity performing strenuous day activities of a primarily productive/technical nature.
• Sufficient to reach/handle items and work with the fingers and perceives attributes of objects and materials.
• Work outdoors with exposure to changing weather conditions such as rain, sun, snow, wind. etc.

Preferred Requirements

• High-school Diploma or GED is preferred.
• 2 years of construction experience.
• Experience operating basic construction equipment.
• Follow all required safety rules, polices and guidelines.
• Flexible schedule to work days/nights and weekends as needed.
