As a member of the Capital Area Child Care Services team, you will join an incredibly talented and hardworking program dedicated to serving clients in the Capital Area (Travis County) through child care services while advancing BakerRipley's impact in the region.
Reporting to the Family & Community Engagement Supervisor, the Child Care Navigator Lead Specialist (CCN) is responsible for supporting teammates by offering guidance and coaching. Lead Specialist will be communicating with customers regarding eligibility, documentation requirements, customer requests, as well as providing information about the CCS program, early childhood development resources and other resources that are available within our community. Lead CCN provides technical assistance and conducts policy and procedure training to other department staff. Lead CCN will regularly model building relationships with families, providers, and community partners. Lead CCN works with other agencies to provide information about the Child Care Services program.

- Lead relationships with local providers and community partners by meeting regularly, sending referrals, and assisting families in need.
- Essential Functions:
- Establishes rapport and credibility with customers and providers by providing excellent customer service in a professional and respectful manner.
- Communicates with customers regarding eligibility issues, documentation requirements, customer complaints, actions taken by Child Care Services (CCS) regarding their case as well as provide information about the CCS program
- Knowledgeable of and communicates with customers' information regarding early childhood development and community-based resources available to customers.
- Gathers and tracks data needed to report on outcomes for funders.
- Performs mathematical calculations to determine the parents’ income and share of cost.
- Enters all data into the case management software, assigned spreadsheets, databases etc. in a timely and accurate manner.
- Maintains accurate customer files in a specific order and completeness.
- Takes immediate action to address customer needs and helps customers navigate through the child care program.
- Provides technical assistance and conducts policy and procedure training to other CCN staff.
- Performs Quality Assurance reviews of department cases by reviewing for completeness and accuracy.
- Determines customer eligibility by reviewing the customer documentation for completeness and accuracy within required timeframes.
- Manages caseload balance and case assignments to help ensure deadlines are being met.
- Model PII and SPI protocols and ensure CCN staff are keeping customer information secure and protected.
- Encourages and supports team members in meeting contractual requirements by developing clear plans, fostering awareness of expectations, and guiding the implementation of effective practices to ensure compliance and success.
