Role Description The Custodian role at Bailey Executive is a part-time, on-site position based in Flowood, MS. This will be a weekend position Friday-Sunday. Day-to-day responsibilities include sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting in offices, churches, warehouses, stadiums, and gymnasiums. The custodian will clean restrooms, empty trash and recycling, restock supplies, and ensure common areas are neat and organized. Duties also include floor care such as buffing, stripping, waxing, and refinishing as needed, and assisting with one-time event cleanings before and after functions. The role requires following safety procedures, using cleaning equipment and products properly, and communicating any maintenance or safety issues to supervisors.
Qualifications
- Experience with general cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and restroom sanitation.
- Knowledge of floor care methods, such as buffing, stripping, waxing, and refinishing different types of flooring.
- Ability to use and maintain cleaning equipment and supplies safely and efficiently.
- Strong attention to detail, reliability, and time management skills to complete assigned tasks on schedule.
- Capacity to perform physical work, including standing, walking, lifting, and bending for extended periods.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings or weekends, based on client and event needs.
- Basic communication skills to follow instructions, report issues, and interact professionally with clients and team members.
- Previous custodial or janitorial experience is preferred but not required; training may be provided.
