Job Description
Responsible for performing highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain production and facility equipment according to safety, predictive and productive maintenance systems and processes to support the achievement of Badger’s business goals and objectives.
Essential Functions
- Maintain Equipment & Facility: Install, maintain, and repair production machines and plant equipment, including scheduled and emergency repairs following safety procedures (Lock Out/Tag Out).
- Troubleshooting & Repairs: Diagnose issues, replace or repair parts, and perform adjustments on mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic systems.
- Preventive Maintenance: Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance on machines, facilities, and safety equipment (fire extinguishers, emergency lighting).
- General Maintenance Tasks: Perform basic machinist, plumbing, carpentry, and yard/weather-related duties (snow removal, salting).
- Tool & Equipment Use: Operate hand/power tools, electric meters, and material handling equipment safely.
- Safety & Compliance: Detect faulty operations, report issues, maintain clean work areas, and comply with safety regulations.
- Additional Responsibilities: Maintain railroad tracks (per BNSF), oversee janitorial services, and complete other assigned tasks.
- Technical & Systems: Ability to learn and use corporate enterprise systems.
- Time Management: Prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities effectively.
- Communication & Interpersonal: Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal skills, including conflict resolution and collaboration.
- Independence & Initiative: Work independently, take initiative, and handle challenging projects.
- Work Ethic & Detail: High attention to detail, strong work ethic, and team-oriented mindset.
- Adaptability: Thrive in fast-paced environments and manage multiple priorities.
- Problem-Solving & Decision-Making: Analyze issues, resolve problems, and make critical decisions within company guidelines.
- Relationship Management: Communicate effectively with employees, customers, and vendors across all channels
- High School diploma or GED.
- Associate’s degree preferred in related field.
- 3-5 years’ experience in manufacturing environment.
