What Will You Do?
» Develop an understanding of the customer service functions by performing the day-to-day duties in the accounts, administration, underwriting and claims departments
» Assist customers with billing questions, account updates, coverage questions and concerns, and filing new claims
» Provide superior customer service to all internal and external customers
» Maintain knowledge of current customer service web-based industry standards and best practices
» Research and resolve complex customer service issues promptly and professionally
» Assist other departments processing tasks as needed
» Work collaboratively in a team environment
» Maintain customer service productivity and quality standards with measurable results
» Identify opportunities to improve customer experience and suggest process improvements
Job Requirements
» Associate degree or equivalent industry experience
» 5 years of P&C insurance industry customer service experience
» Property & Casualty Insurance license or ability to obtain within 90 days from hire (paid for by Badger Mutual)
» Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite software (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
» Self-motivated with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
» Ability to think outside of the box to develop creative solutions for the customers’ needs
» Excellent active listening, written and verbal communication skills
» Flexible with the ability to manage multiple priorities and multitask using technology
» Strong organizational, problem solving and critical thinking skills
» Confident decision maker with the ability to think outside the box to resolve problems
