Driller Assistant - Geotechnical

We are seeking a dependable Geotechnical Driller Assistant with a valid CDL to support our field drilling operations. This hands-on position involves driving and assisting with drill rig setup, supporting subsurface investigations, handling tools and materials, and maintaining safe, organized job sites. Candidates should be comfortable working outdoors in varying conditions, performing physical labor, and working as part of a field crew. 

Essential Job Functions: 

• Assist and work with the lead driller in moving, setting up, operating, and maintaining drilling rigs and related equipment used to drill holes for geotechnical testing to determine site soil characteristics. 
• Help the driller with the collection of data and samples in the field under the direction of the crew chief
• Promote and adhere to safe work practices for self, the lead driller, and others
• Complete daily reports of drilling and driving activities
• This position will include frequent walking and will be performed outdoors in varied weather conditions
• This position will include lifting & carrying heavy materials (up to approximately 80 pounds)
  
• Travel required

Desired Skills/Experience:

• Driver’s license and good driving record are required.
• CDL or the ability to obtain a CDL is preferred
