Backhaul Direct, LLC is seeking an Account Coordinator to support one of our fastest-growing strategic customer accounts. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys solving problems, and wants to play a key role in delivering exceptional transportation service.
As an Account Coordinator, you'll serve as the day-to-day operational link between our customer, carrier partners, and internal operations team. You'll coordinate time-sensitive shipments, provide proactive communication, resolve transportation issues, and ensure freight moves efficiently from pickup through delivery.
Following an initial training period at Backhaul Direct's headquarters, you'll transition to working on-site at our customer's facility in Plainfield, Indiana, becoming an extension of both organizations and building valuable customer-facing experience.

What You'll Do
- Coordinate the daily transportation activities for a dedicated customer account.
- Monitor shipments from pickup through final delivery and provide proactive status updates.
- Communicate with carriers to obtain shipment information, delivery confirmations, photos, and required documentation.
- Upload shipping documents and proof of delivery into customer systems.
- Identify and resolve shipment delays, service exceptions, and operational issues.
- Serve as the primary liaison between the customer, carrier partners, and internal operations teams.
- Maintain accurate shipment records and documentation.
- Prioritize multiple shipments while meeting demanding service expectations.
- Build strong working relationships through consistent, professional communication and customer support.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- High attention to detail and strong problem-solving abilities.
- A sense of urgency and commitment to exceptional customer service.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and the ability to quickly learn transportation management systems.
- Experience in logistics, transportation, supply chain, customer service, or operations.
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience coordinating multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
