What are the responsibilities and job description for the Interior Design Assistant position at Backdrop Interior Design?
We are seeking an Interior Design Assistant to become a part of our team! We are a boutique, high-end residential interior design firm focused on new construction, remodeling and kitchen and bath design. Candidates should have a fundamental understanding of the design process and should be proficient in the use of drafting software.
Responsibilities:
- Create drawing sets for construction, specifically interior spaces, kitchens, bathrooms, furniture plans, lighting plans and schedules using Chief Architect
- Generate 3D renderings of interior spaces utilizing project materials and furnishings, AI assisted rendering capability preferred
- Assemble client presentation and construction documents for contractors
- Administrative work related to project costs and estimating
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in interior design or other related fields. Experience designing with and drawing cabinetry is a plus
- Confident in drafting capabilities and the ability to communicate via design drawings
- Proficient in Chief Architect
- Deadline and detail-oriented
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
