What are the responsibilities and job description for the Merchandise Supply Chain Coordinator position at Backcountry?
Backcountry aims to provide its customers with an exceptional shopping experience by offering premium outdoor products, expert knowledge, and inspiring content. To achieve this goal, we need a skilled Merchandise Supply Chain Coordinator. This individual will oversee the operational processes supporting our merchandising team, ensuring efficient workflows, accurate product information, and seamless vendor compliance.
The successful candidate will have a solid background in merchandising operations, supply chain coordination, and vendor management. Key responsibilities include:
- Supply Chain Optimization: Develop and maintain standardized workflows for SKU setup, PO tracking, and vendor compliance, generating reports and insights on PO accuracy, fulfillment rates, and merchandise operations KPIs.
- Vendor Onboarding: Collaborate with vendors to onboard them to new drop ship portals, validating the system's functionality for drop ship orders, changes, and cancellations.
- Process Improvement: Work closely with the Planning and DC teams to optimize the flow in and out of the DC, driving process improvements and efficiency gains.
We require someone with 3-5 years of experience in merchandising operations, supply chain, or a related field. Strong knowledge of SKU management, purchase order processes, and vendor compliance is necessary, along with proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data management tools.
