Babe's Diner is seeking an experienced and reliable Executive Chef to lead the kitchen at our year-round Sag Harbor diner concept. You will oversee all aspects of food preparation, kitchen management, and menu development, ensuring the highest standards of quality, safety, and service. Your energetic leadership will inspire your team to excel in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a focus on innovation and guest satisfaction. Our concept focuses on elevated diner classics - breakfast, sandwiches, burgers, comfort food, and daily specials.
Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise all kitchen operations, including food production, food handling, and food safety protocols
- Manage food quality, consistency, and presentation.
- Create and maintain efficient kitchen systems.
- Train, mentor, and motivate kitchen staff to foster a cohesive team environment focused on continuous improvement
- Work collaboratively with ownership and front-of-the-house team.
Qualifications
- Proven supervising experience leading diverse kitchen teams in high-volume settings
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards, inventory management, and food industry best practices
- Proficiency in menu planning, food preparation, and kitchen management techniques
- Ability to lead by example and maintain a positive kitchen culture
Pay: $70,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
