SUMMARY
The Business Development Officer/Banking Center Manager (BDO/BCM) improves the bank’s market position, achieves financial growth for the company and oversees the operations of the designated banking center. Exercises executive and administrative control over the functions of the office. Administers the operations of the full-service banking center (in coordination with the Assistant Banking Center Manager) with primary emphasis on risk related to the safety of the banks and the client’s information.

- Defines long-term organizational strategic goals, builds key customer relationships, identifies business opportunities, negotiates and closes business deals and maintains extensive knowledge of current market conditions.
- Prospects for potential new clients, identifies decision makers within their organization, and turns this into increased business.
- Expands existing deposit business.
- Represents the financial institution through exceptional customer service.
- In coordination with the Assistant Banking Center Manager, manages overall banking center office operations, ensures smooth opening and closing of office and ensures all security and compliance policy and procedures are adhered to.
- Establishes and helps to attain internal performance objectives for banking center.
- Ensures that banking center employees understand and maintain compliance with Bank policies and procedures and applicable laws and regulations, including BSA, AML, and OFAC.
- Handles customer problems and complaints, and counsels customers with special needs or requests.
- Directs financial institution personnel in activities to ensure prompt, accurate and dependable customer service.
- Reviews staff members for formal performance evaluations and recommends salary adjustments.
- Counsels employees when needed.
- Coordinates staff training when needed.
- Provides backup for all banking center functions when necessary.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- Two to four years of banking experience in a financial industry setting.
- Business development.
- Good working knowledge of other departments in the institution, as they relate to production and operations.
- Good management and human resources skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
- Background in financial institution operating policies and procedures, banking regulations, employee development and public relations.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
