Standing Seam Laborer

Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Standing Seam Laborer to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting with the fabrication and assembly of standing seam metal roof panels and trim compnents. Your expertise will contribute to delivering high-quality, precision-crafted roofing solutions that meet safety standards and client specifications. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with advanced machinery and develop your skills in sheet metal fabrication and assembly within a dynamic production environment.

Duties

• Assist with the setup and operation of machinery such as press brake machines, CNC laser cutters, plasma cutters, CNC milling machines, and CNC lathes to shape and form sheet metal components.
• Interpret mechanical blueprints and technical drawings to ensure accurate fabrication and assembly of standing seam panels.
• Use hand tools, calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring instruments to perform quality inspections and verify measurements according to specifications.
• Operate cranes and forklifts safely to move raw materials and finished products within the workspace.
• Set up machining tools and tooling for various fabrication processes, ensuring adherence to safety standards in production.
• Perform sheet metal fabrication, and assembly tasks with precision to meet project requirements.
• Follow safety protocols diligently while working with machinery such as stamping presses, CNC equipment, and electrical discharge machining tools.

Experience

• Prior experience in manufacturing or sheet metal fabrication is preferred but not required; training will be provided.
• Familiarity with CNC programming, CNC laser cutting, plasma cutting, or machining tools is a plus.
• Knowledge of technical drawing interpretation, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing), and quality control measurement techniques is highly desirable.
• Basic math skills are essential for measurement calculations and tooling setups.
• Experience operating forklifts or cranes is advantageous but not mandatory; certification is a plus.
• Demonstrated understanding of safety standards in production environments to ensure a safe working atmosphere for all team members.

Pay: $17.00 - $21.00 per hour
