Job Title: Tacker
Location: Morgan City, LA
Schedule: Day Shift (Weekend availability required)

Job Summary

We are hiring an experienced Tacker to assist with fitting and securing materials prior to final welding. Must be reliable, detail-oriented, and able to work weekends.

Must-Haves

  • Prior experience as a tacker or in welding/fabrication
  • Ability to read blueprints
  • Basic knowledge of welding and fit-up
  • Reliable transportation and attendance
  • Must be able to work weekends
  • Must have full PPE

Preferred

  • Structural or pipe fabrication experience
  • Familiarity with MIG/TIG/Stick welding
  • Strong safety awareness

Interview Questions

  1. What experience do you have as a tacker?
  2. Can you read and work from blueprints?
  3. How do you ensure accurate fit-up?
  4. What safety practices do you follow?
  5. Are you available for weekend work?
  6. Describe a time you corrected a fit-up issue.
