Summary
Seeking an experienced 1st Class Shipfitter with 3 years of shipfitting experience to perform layout, structural fitting, torch cutting, and metric measuring for marine vessel construction and repair.
Must-Haves
- 3 years of shipfitting experience in a shipyard or industrial setting
- Experience with layout, structural fitting, and assembly
- Proficient in torch cutting and metric measurements
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and drawings
- Ability to pass a hands-on craft test
- Strong commitment to safety and quality
Preferred
- New vessel construction or marine repair experience
- Rigging, crane, or forklift experience
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
