Summary
Seeking an experienced 1st Class Blaster/Painter for shipyard operations in Morgan City, LA. This position is responsible for abrasive blasting, surface prep, and industrial painting on marine vessels and structural components while maintaining safety and quality standards.
Must-Haves
- 3 years of shipyard or industrial blasting/painting experience
- Experience with blasting equipment and airless paint systems
- Knowledge of industrial coatings and surface preparation
- Ability to work outdoors, at heights, and in confined spaces
- Strong safety record and PPE compliance
- Reliable transportation and attendance
Preferred
- SSPC/NACE certifications
- Experience with marine coatings and vessel work
- OSHA certification
