Safety Assistant Manager

Role: The Assistant Manager, Safety leads a team of safety professionals to innovate and improve safety systems, processes, and equipment. They ensure compliance with safety regulations, conduct risk assessments, ergonomic studies, and analyze safety data to promote safety excellence aligned with operational goals and new models.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily safety operations and mentor team members.
• Lead safety improvement projects and safety themes within the plant.
• Apply safety management policies and participate in PDCA cycles for continuous improvement.
• Perform complex safety compliance activities and report safety performance data.
• Develop technical expertise and professional skills.
  
  

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Occupational Safety, or related field.
• 8 years of safety experience or equivalent manufacturing background.
• Professional certifications such as Safety Professional or equivalent.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, data analysis, and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of safety regulations, risk assessment, root cause analysis, and business planning.
  
  

Work Conditions: Office and manufacturing environments, with potential for overtime, varying shifts, and minimal travel.
