Clinical Nurse Med Surg

Role Overview

This position involves providing direct patient care on a 16-bed Medical, Med Surg/Ortho unit, focusing on assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation within established nursing standards.

Responsibilities Include

• Promoting patient and family-centered care, educating on illness management, medication, and post-treatment needs.
• Participating in activities to ensure patient safety, quality care, and regulatory compliance.
• Developing, implementing, and documenting individualized care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team, patients, and families.
• Using critical nursing skills to assess physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, respecting patient values, cultural, and spiritual considerations.
• Contributing to a safe environment as this role is safety-sensitive, requiring alertness and safe work practices.
  
  

Qualifications

• Education: Nursing Diploma/Associate's Degree; Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
• Licenses: Valid RN license.
• Experience: No prior experience required; 2 years preferred for advanced roles.
