Diagnostic Radiology Technologist - Weekender Rotation

Role Overview: Responsible for performing radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures to assist in diagnosis and treatment, ensuring patient safety and adherence to regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Obtain correct orders, properly identify and prepare patients for exams, and document clinical history confidentially.
• Utilize appropriate imaging protocols, optimize technical factors, and apply ALARA principles to minimize radiation exposure.
• Prepare and administer medications via vascular access as prescribed, documenting activities accurately.
• Evaluate images for quality, proper positioning, and verify data storage or transfer.
• Educate and monitor students and healthcare providers, and assist licensed practitioners in fluoroscopic and specialized procedures.
• Perform diagnostic radiography in various settings, including operating rooms and ICU, as prescribed.
  
  

Qualifications & Skills: Graduate from a Specialty Training Program in Radiologic Technology, with new graduates required to obtain ARRT-R registration within six months. Ability to work independently, maintain safety standards, and adapt to various clinical environments. Opportunities for advancement to higher levels based on skills and experience.
